“Necessity is the mother of invention – sometimes even illegally. This is exactly how “moonshine” came about. This wheat spirit-based liquor was distilled black during the American Prohibition era, packaged in inconspicuous preserving jars and sold illegally by the famous “moonshine gangs” from Chicago.
Today, our customer legally distils and sells the rediscovered speciality, still in the proper style in a preserving jar. But it certainly tastes better than it did back then, especially with ingredients such as caramel, berries or, as in this case, baked apple. This makes it ideal for mixing interesting cocktails – with a touch of the “Roaring Twenties”.
The design of our packaging is also reminiscent of its “rustic” origins. Plain brown with flexographic printing is intentional and sustainable. To make portioning easier, a spout is packed above the visible glass. This packaging is a beautiful and original gift for the next cocktail party.
