Installation by Thomas Bayrle for documenta 2013.
Well-known German artist Thomas Bayrle is exhibiting his works in the main hall at documenta 13 in Kassel. His work, which he describes as “Machinenkunst” (machine art), reflects the relationship between machines and life.
We’re pleased to have been able to contribute to this exhibition. One part of this machine art is a 25 x 8 m wall of grey cardboard, consisting of 160 modules that represent street blocks. This monumental work was developed and produced in our development department and punching shop and in the course of hundreds of hours of manual finishing work.
