Here is one accolade that we’re particularly happy with: the unusual modern design of the “Black and Grey Style” Advent calendar from designer Michaela Vargas Coronado was created especially for the Advent calendar, which is, as the name suggests, available in grey and black. The calendars were developed and produced at Dinkhauser Kartonagen. What is otherwise a very unfussy calendar is given an extra stylistic touch by the special typography of the numbers embossed on the boxes. The design didn’t just attract attention in online shops but was also awarded a very prestigious accolade, the Type Directors Club New York Award, prevailing over 2,000 other submissions.
